List: Top 10 Best Selling Albums in the UK of all time
Date: 2006
Source: Official UK Charts Company
Base: All albums sold in the UK from 1950 until mid-2006.
Notes: The Official UK Charts Company came up with a top 100 list from which our list is taken. Despite delving back in their records all the way to the 1950s it's noticeable that the top ten is dominated by 1980s and 1990s releases. Six of the albums featured are from British artists, 3 from the USA and one place for Abba of Sweden - gotta love Abba - although they did sing in English.
