Notes: Shanghai General Motors Automotive Co. Ltd. maintained its top position from 2006 as China's best-selling auto maker, making it the leading car manufacturer in the Chinese market for three consecutive years. Shanghai GM sold 160,500 units of Chevrolet vehicles in 2007 (+56.4% year on year), 332,000 Buick vehicles (+27,800 units year on year), 7,040 Cadillac and 618 Saab vehicles. FAW VW sold 459,359 vehicles in 2007, of which the Jetta series alone accounted for 43.5% of total volume. Shanghai VW was the third biggest seller in the Chinese market, selling 436,343 vehicles in 2007. Four models, including Passat, Santana, Santana 3000, Polo represented 91% of total sales. Chery Automobile was the fourth biggest seller with 381.000 vehicles. The fastest growing automaker was Changan Ford Mazda, which saw sales climb 60% to 217,100 units in 2007. The top 10 best selling automakers in Chinese market in 2007 posted a 59.5% year-on-year gain by units sold.
