Notes: Results are from Information Age's Effective IT Survey 2009 which sought to find "the preferred strategies of IT leaders ... (and) ... catch emerging IT strategies as they burst into the limelight of enterprise adoption." The top six most adopted strategies among the 2009 were essentially unchanged from the previous year. "Encouraged remote and mobile working" was the most widely adopted IT strategy for the third year running, with 81.7% of respondents having done so. There were two new entries to the 2009 top ten - storage virtualisation and "Reducing IT staffing costs".
