Base: There were 11,685 commercials and print adverts complained about during 2005. No data on number of complaints but the ASA said that the number was 16% higher than in 2004.

Notes: The number one in the list below, for KFC's 'Zinger Crunch salad', became the most complained about advertisement of all time (in the UK) - beating the previous record holder (a TV ad for Wrigley's chewing gum featuring a man recovering from a hangover appearing to regurgitate a dog) by almost two times.
