Notes: The Toronto Star is Canada's highest-circulation newspaper, though the print edition is distributed almost entirely within the province of Ontario. It is owned by Toronto Star Newspapers Ltd., a subsidiary of Torstar Corporation. The Globe and Mail is based in Toronto but printed in six cities across the country and is owned by media conglomerate CTVglobemedia. Le Journal de Montréal is a daily tabloid and is the largest-circulation French-language newspaper in North America. Established in 1964, it is owned by the Sun Media division of Quebecor Media and is famous for its sensationalism and populist Quebec-nationalist perspective.
