Base: The list is based on publications in 24 leading journals in major business disciplines over the five year period 2002 to 2006. A single authored paper results in the school of affiliation being credited with a score of 1. If there are multiple authors the school gets a score of 1/n for each of their faculty members, where n is the number of authors.
Notes: The school produces a list covering the top 100 North American schools and also a worldwide list and by clicking on the link above you can see which journals are covered by the survey. The database contains author and affiliation information on all papers published in these journals since 1990. Affiliations of the author are recorded at the time of the paper publication.
