List: Top 10 Favourite Biscuits
Date: 2006 poll
Source: nicecupofteaandasitdown.com
Base: According to the website - "We asked you to cast your votes, and you responded in your thousands, hoorah!".
Notes: This popular UK based website contains all the latest news, views and development in the world of biscuits and is run by 'Nicey and Wifey'. For this poll they also asked for readers 'most regular biscuit' and 'most yukky' biscuit. The complete results (Top 50) are available at the link above and the site owners have also done a stats breakdown with number of votes and favourites weighting (the ratio of favourites to regulars). All types of Digestives rocked the vote and the Pink Wafer was deemed 'yukkiest of all' NB - Pink wafers are coloured by crushed beetles (cochineal). Some controversy over the inclusion of Jaffa Cakes (which ranked 4th) "The word biscuit is from the French meaning 'cooked twice'," said Alex at cricinfo.com, with anorak firmly zipped up. "Jaffas are cooked only once and therefore don't qualify."
