RECREATION / FOOD and DRINK
List: Top 10 Most Detested Foods in Britain
Date: March 2006
Source: 'Olive' food magazine
Base: 4,903 people were polled by the magazine.
Notes: No arguing with the number one choice here - even your editor's dog won't eat tripe, preferring to starve himself rather than eat that muck. Marmite (at position 8) is very much a 'love-it-or-hate-it' concoction. Never been to Glasgow so can't confirm or deny the edibility of a Deep-Fried Mars Bar - but who the hell thought of deep-frying one in the first place? Must have been drunk out-of their mind...
