Notes: In the first half of 2005 Scotch whisky exports were £1.01 billion, the first time in eight years that exports had passed the £1 billion mark. Whisky makes up 1.2 per cent of Scottish GDP. The most popular export brands were: Chivas Regal (Pernod Ricard), Johnnie Walker (Diageo) The Famous Grouse (Edrington Group)
