Notes: Muralitharan, Pollock and Kumble are, as of writing (December 2007), still playing Test matches so they will be adding to their totals as this top ten is published. Indeed, spin bowler Muralitharan of Sri Lanka went past Warne's 708 mark after the first match in the test series versus England ending 5th December 2007 (taking 9 wickets in two innings). Kumble passed 500 in March 2006.
