Notes: Keelan and Gunn were both 'keepers. Ron Ashman began his professional career at Carrow Road in 1946 and made his League debut in October 1947. As both player and later manager he stayed with the club as it rose from the old Third Division South to fourth place in the second division in 1960/61, then silverware in the shape of the League Cup in 1962. He made 662 senior appearances for Norwich, exceeded only by Kevin Keelan, whom Ashman was responsible for signing.
