List: Top Ten Grand Prix Drivers by Number of Victories

Date: as of 14th May 2007

Source: Formula 1

Base: All drivers who have recorded a Formula 1 Grand Prix victory

Notes: Clearly the modern drivers benefit in a classification such as this since the Formula 1 calendar has expanded in later years, bringing in more circuits and more rounds per season. Nonetheless, the ruthless teutonic automaton that is Michael Schumacher is way ahead of his rivals and despite his early(ish) retirement has set a mark that will be very difficult to beat in the future. Fernando Alonso is the highest placed of the drivers still currently competing as we put this top ten list up - he has 16 victories. Other notable just outside the top ten: Mika Hakkinen (20), Stirling Moss (16), Emerson Fittipaldi (14), Graham Hill (14), Jack Brabham (14), Alberto Ascari (13), Alan Jones (12), Mario Andretti (12), Jacques Villenueve (11) and the playboy's playboy, James Hunt (the Shunt) (10).
